His in-depth knowledge of AWS is evident, and he communicated complex concepts in a way that was both clear and engaging. Throughout the course, Ballappa used noise-cancelling techniques, ensuring that I was not distracted by any background noise. The labs provided were highly beneficial, and for any topics not covered by the labs, Ballappa used his own AWS account to demonstrate those concepts, all while maintaining the pace and quality of his delivery. His flexibility in accommodating my schedule was particularly impressive. For example, on the first day, my lunch was at 11:00 am SAST, and on the following days, it shifted to 1:30 pm. Ballappa adapted seamlessly, ensuring I never felt I was imposing. Ballappa’s knowledge of AWS is top-tier, and his communication skills are excellent. He used practical analogies to make complex concepts more relatable. One analogy that stood out was his comparison of authentication and authorisation to the use of a Visa and Passport: as an authenticated Indian citizen, he is authorised to enter South Africa on a specific Visa type. This analogy was a brilliant way to illustrate the topic. Additionally, Ballappa taught me a valuable learning technique—taking 10 to 15-minute breaks after an hour of study. This approach significantly helped with information retention, and I found it highly effective throughout the course.
