Responsible for implementation of internal infrastructure of Microsoft Exchange server, Skype for business, Lync server, and Windows server based infrastructure.

To work with Plan and Build team to provide recommendations for infrastructure implementation and configuration.

Accountable for monitoring and optimize the entire messaging and communication infrastructure and provide suggestions for any change and project to keep the entire infrastructure running for the business.

Responsible for preparing technical documents for design and implementation related to Microsoft Exchange server, Lync server and Windows server based infrastructure and implementing any changes required.

Lead internal and external technical consultants on operation and optimization of systems, applications, data cleansing, data archiving, and environment build for global single instance of SoftwareONE.

PROJECTS
1. Lync 2010 to Skype for Business Migration Project
-
Played an active role in “Lync 2010 to Skype for business” migration project. In this, we have planned and migrated for approx. 20 Lync 2010 servers, 30 SBAs and SIP trunk migration from PSTN connectivity for enterprise voice. All Lync 2010 servers were distributed in four sites (Switzerland - EMEA, US – LATAM and NORAM and Singapore - APAC) across the globe. We migrated all Lync servers to Skype for Business servers in all four sites in multiple phases. Followings were main highlights of this project:

Involved in the migration of around 3000 Lync 2010 users to Skype for Business.

Lync 2010 client changed to Skype for business client.

Provided design and implementation inputs to plan and build team for the different phase of projects.

Involved in assigned project and change tasks related to the Skype for migration project.

Involved in preparation of design, Implementation and operation related documentation.

Prepared Knowledge-based article and SOPs for the Lync and Skype infrastructure.

Provided level 3 support for server and Client related issues.

Conducted internal knowledge transfer for this migration to the Support and Run and Optimize (Operations) team.
2. Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 Migration Project
Participated in migration project Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016. We are in planning to migrate approx. 3500 Mailboxes, 8 internal servers and Update in email security gateways. All exchange 2010 servers are located in four sites (Switzerland – EMEA) and serving the exchange services across the globe in SoftwareONE.
3. Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 replacement project with Trend Micro Scan Mail for Exchange
In SoftwareONE, I played the lead role in FEP replacement project. We replaced FEP 2010 for exchange in SoftwareONE exchange infrastructure with “Trend Micro Scan Mail” for internal mail scanning. In this project, we prepared project proposal by following ITIL process in Service-Now. We documented each and everything related to uninstallation of FEP 2010 for exchange and Installation of “Trend Micro Scan Mail”. Followings were main highlights of this project:

I managed and documented everything in Service-Now using ITIL process in this project.

After considering and comparing multiple Mail protection solution based on different criteria, we decided to implement “Trend Micro Scan Mail”.

Implementation of this product was performed in an ITIL change window by notifying to all users in the company in advance.

Trend Micro Scan mail was implemented to all HUB transport server in Exchange Infrastructure.
